Celebrating Easter

Easter can be such an exciting time of year; with the natural world around us showing its own signs of new life and new beginnings. We have had so much fun looking at 'New beginnings' we have been on a walk around our school looking around our school garden for signs of new life. This could be flower buds opening or blossom on the trees. We have had so much fun doing 'observational drawings' of different flowers in our school quad. The children have really enjoyed being outside and exploring the natural world.

We have been reading the Easter Story. Although we may be unable to visit our regular place of worship this week, we can still remember Gods messages and the sacrifices that Jesus made for all of us. We also had lots of Easter themed stories such as Peter Rabbit and the Egg Hunt, The Story of the Easter Bunny or Saving Easter.

We also had lots of fun making Easter cards, painting our eggs and nest cakes. We have been very busy this term getting settled back into reception and have had so much fun doing it!!!!
