Friday 24th April

Good morning Year 1,

Happy Friday! Its nearly time for the weekend but before we get there I have some activities for you to complete today. I'm sure you are all missing your friends from school so some of our activities today our based around making someone smile which I am sure will make you feel amazing! I'm missing all your smiley faces but it makes me happy to think of you all being superstars at home and trying your best! smiley

Well done Harry for doing fantastic reading and sharing it on our twitter page! Remember to share your work and pictures on @StMariesKirkby so I can celebrate your hard work! heart

National Academy: Please click the link attached to continue with our English lesson for today. The focus of this week is to write a set of instructions! Have you created the perfect disgusting sandwich? I would love to see your set of instructions on our twitter page!

Can you try the BBC Bitesize lesson: How to be a good friend. Learn about the importance of friendship through a range of videos which include getting active as well as watching friendships between children. You can then complete the activities thinking about what you have learnt and about your own friendships!

As our wellbeing activity was all about friendship I thought today you could think about one of your friends. It could be your friend from school, a family member or a friend who lives close by! I’m sure you are missing playing games with your friends and talking to them so for your activity today I would like you to think of something to do to make them happy!

  • Make them a card
  • Send them a video
  • Draw a picture of you both together
  • Make a song or dance up together over video call
  • Create a painting
  • Tell them a joke
  • Send them a big smile!!

Have a lovely weekend!
