In today's Maths activity, I would like us to revisit place value.


Think of your place value chart, which looks like the image below.


If I had the number 521, how could we partition this number?



5 is 500 - so it would go in the Hundreds column.

2 is 20 so - so it would go in the Tens column.

1 is 1 - so it would go in the Ones column.
