Pentecost Sunday

Dear Parents


Today is Pentecost Sunday, described as the birthday of the Church, as it was the day the Apostles received the Holy Spirit in the Upper Room.

Filled with joyful courage and powerful faith, they took up Jesus' command to go to the ends of the earth to spread his Good News.

So it is our feast day, as we wouldn't be Christians if Pentecost hadn't happened....

Finally there was a beautiful version of Amazing grace, sung in different languages, which couldn't be more appropriate than for Pentecost Sunday, given the Apostles burst from the Upper Room with the gift of tongues, able to speak to people from many countries


with  every blessing
