Sunday 17th May 2020

Dear Parents

We hope you are all well and perhaps had an opportunity this week to enjoy the increased freedom offered to us this week by Government?

Here is the Children's Liturgy for 6th Sunday of Easter (17th May 2020)

https://youtu.be/XHrVupxs6ms

As you will see from the video, we all have the chance to pray a novena together from this Thursday, Ascension Day to Pentecost on 31st May.

This is something we have done in school over the last couple of years, and indeed it is a longstanding practice all over the world.

A short video will be released everyday, Thursday 21st to Sunday 31st May, focusing on a different fruit of the Holy Spirit: peace, joy, faith, kindness, goodness, self-control, gentleness, patience and love. Just think what a powerful difference it would make to our schools and parishes if we all prayed this novena so that our lives can become rich and abundant in these fruits of the Holy Spirit? What good news indeed would that be!

As Pope Francis said this week

If possible, we will try and do short videos aimed for adults and older children as well - if the technology permits! Also if any children have favourite songs that they would like to be used during the novena do please let Monica know so she can put them up on the youtube channel.

Let us remember in a special way those children who were due to make their First Holy Communion this week
