Hello everyone! It's a new week and I have lots of fun things for you to do. Please find your activities for today down below, take part, enjoy and don't forget to send your pictures to me on twitter!
Please join in with the daily RWI sessions on YouTube (link below). Each lesson is available for 24 hours so you can access it at whatever time is best for you. Each session has 3 parts which all link together, it would be fantastic if you completed each part. For set 1 sounds they should be completed in this order:
1. Speed sound lesson.
2. Word time lesson.
3. Spelling lesson.
If you are up for a challenge and already fully confident with your set 1 sounds (including writing words) you should access the set 2 sound and spelling lessons. I would be so pleased to see some of your fantastic writing, so if you could send it to the school twitter it would make me very happy.
Extra Challenge/Being Imaginative
Look at the youtube video below, can you make and play a tricky word pairs/snap game at home? What tricky words will you use? Can you think of your own game to play with the words you have written? Share you game ideas with me on twitter!
As well as your reading during your phonics sessions I would love if you could read a book at home with someone, can you sound out some of the words? Can you find any tricky words? You can also access e-books on the Oxford Owl website for free! You just need to create a log in. Follow the link below and sign yourself up and select age range 4-5 and get reading! Today I am challenging you to reading a RWI book independently, today try 'Fat Frog'. Can you read the words by using Fred in your head?
Talk 4 Writing
Please click on the link below for the 'talk 4 writing' materials. We will be completing parts of this booklet in the coming week/weeks. First please read the parents/Carers notes on page 3. Next read the story 'Mavis the magical cat' together on pages 4,5 and 6. Finally complete the 'let's talk' section on the bottom of page 6.
3D shapes today! Please look at the 3D shape mat below, can you recognise any of the shapes? Do they look similar to things you have seen at home, or in school? We are going to look at how 3D shapes are apart of our everyday world, look at the powerpoint below. Do you have any of these items in your house? I'd love it if you went on a 3D shape hunt, what shapes can you find? Send me a picture on twitter of your findings!
I have added this weeks picture news to the main home learning page, can you complete some of the activities? Read the question and give your opinion. The picture news activities will really get your brain working and I would love for you to have ago at it, possibly one small activity each day and let me know some of the ideas and thoughts you have. I will add a new picture and new activities for it each week.
Personal Social Emotional Development
I have updated the well being tab on our class page, please visit and browse through. I have added links and various things to help your well being during this time. Click the link below to the gonoodle video - be grateful. What are you grateful for? I am grateful for all of you!

Keep up the super work and keep sending me pictures to make me smile! I’ll be back tomorrow with more challenges for you all.
