Welcome to the Year 3 class page. Here you can find all of the information you need for this year. Year 3 is a very important year as the children transition from the infants to the juniors.
Please ensure your child is in school and on time every day. If your child is sick, please contact the school office to report them absent.
P.E
P.E is on Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure your child wears their full P.E kit on these days. P.E kit consists of: a plain white t-shirt, black or blue shorts/joggers/leggings and black P.E pumps or trainers.
Reading
Children have access to 'Reading Eggs' which they can use to complete reading and comprehension activities. Please encourage your child to read every day. Children also have the opportunity to take reading books home suitable for their reading ability.
If you require a new letter to sign up for reading books, please let me know.
Timetables
All children have log in details for Times Table Rock Stars. Please encourage children to practice their times tables at home, particularly 2x, 5x, 10x, 3x, 4x and 8x tables.
Homework and spellings
Spellings are sent home every Monday and children will have a spelling test every Friday. Please ensure children are practicing their spellings at home regularly.
Children have access to the class homework menu here on the class webpage. Homework menus are updated every term and link to our current learning in the classroom.
